Visit year round, there is plenty to do in the cooler months including antiquing, holiday shopping, exploring the towns along the Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway or enjoying the calming views of the boats as they travel through the Kent Narrows Waterway.
You can find fishing, boating, and and outstanding trail system for cycling, running and walking here. Whether you want to sail the bay or hit the trails, Kent Narrows is a paradise for nature lovers.

Ferry Point Nature Park is located on the western side of the waterway and is the perfect place to to learn about the natural environment. Walk over a boardwalk trail through a salt marsh and see the stunning views of the waterfowl here. The trail gives way to the serene shoreline of the Chester River. Be sure to bring your binoculars. It's the perfect spot for birdwatching.
The Kent Narrows Waterfront on the Grasonville side (Kent Narrows East) is also well known for its iconic seafood restaurants. From crab houses to fine dining, you can find the seafood experience that matches your style perfectly. More adventurous types can even try their hand at catching dinner on one of our guided fishing charters.
If you are looking for a boat or a place to keep your boat, Kent Narrows also features some of the most well-equipped marinas in the area. Many boaters come to enjoy the boat buying events that are held here on the weekends in the Fall and Spring.
If you’re boating into the Kent Narrows, you’ll be able to find a places to dock and dine and plenty of transient slips on either side of the Kent Narrows Waterway. Our community is walkable, so it's easy to enjoy everything Kent Narrows has to offer.

Many restaurants also offer seasonal seafood specials that offers the tastiest catches fresh from the Bay region. Special wine and beer tasting events are also offered periodically. For local, countywide and regional visitor info, please visit the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center. Towers are open sunrise to sunset and the Chesapeake Legacy Museum is open during the times the Center is open. The Center is home to the Kent Narrows Development Foundation and the Queen Anne's County Department of Economic Development and Tourism. Restrooms are available. Currently the Center is open from 9a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays and will be open on weekends during late Spring-Early Fall. No overnight parking in the lots.
Waterside park area and landing at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center. Boats may dock here free for up to three hours between sunrise and sunset. Fishing from the shore is allowed in designated places.
